CPR-a-Thon to Teach Life-Saving Skills at No Charge

Joanna Stotter
May 27, 2008

CPR is often a requirement for someone to effectively and properly perform their job. Without this certification, the employee would not be able to continue in his or her respective position. But what if your job does not require you to take this course? Would you ever think twice about signing up?

Without the job incentive that often exists to attain a CPR certification, many people do not take the step to sign up for a CPR course. Excuses include the cost of the course, the time involved, or simply that it’s not at the top of the lengthy priority list. This June 7, however, North Fulton Regional Hospital is making it difficult for people to turn their heads away from these life-saving skills.

Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, North Fulton Regional Hospital will a host a series of back-to-back, two hour CPR courses intended for those who don’t need a certification but who just want to learn the basic CPR skills. Participants will each receive hands-on practice with their own manikin, which they can then take home to use as a teaching tool with other family members and friends. The courses are free, and the two hour commitment just might save a life.

To register for the CPR-a-thon, call (770) 751-2660 or visit www.northfultonregional.com/event, keyword search “CPR Services.” Classes are filling quickly.
