North Fulton Regional Hospital is proud to welcome Dr. Mutinhima Moyo to the surgical team. A General Surgeon, Dr. Moyo joins the medical staff and Rock Bridge Surgical Institute, LLC.
Prior to his appointment at North Fulton Regional Hospital, Dr. Moyo served as a Surgeon at Northlake Medical Center in Tucker, Georgia. Dr. Moyo is Board Certified in General Surgery and completed both his General Surgery internship and residency at Emory University Department of Surgery.
A member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Dr. Moyo graduated cum laude with his BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He proceeded to attend Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta where he received his MD degree. During his education, Dr. Moyo also studied at Vanderbilt University in the Division of Gastroenterology and the University of Rochester in the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
While Dr. Moyo is extensively trained to manage many surgical problems and diseases, the areas in which he excels the most include surgical procedures involving colorectal, endocrine and oncologic surgery. He uses both traditional and minimally invasive techniques to confront these issues.
Dr. Moyo’s active presentation list includes a presentation to the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of General Surgery, where he spoke on Esophageal Cancer: Current Treatments and Controversy. He also presented to the Department of Pediatric Surgery on Congenital Biliary Atresia and Choledochal Cysts and the Department of Plastic Surgery on Management of Incompletely Excised Basal Cell Carcinomas. He is published in eMedicine on Lymph Node Disorders.
