Your Hospital Team

The Medical Staff

The Physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are a patient in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions regarding your illness.

Pharmacy

A highly trained staff of Registered Pharmacists and Technicians are working to promote safe medication use. In addition to medication dispensing, some of the pharmacists' functions include identification of food/drug interactions, drug/drug interactions, medication dosage adjustments in consultation with your physician, patient education and drug therapy monitoring.

The Nursing Staff

Nursingcare is provided 24 hours a day by a team of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and patient care technicians. Nursing Services are dedicated to meeting your nursing and personal care needs. Your nurse can use a wireless phone to facilitate quick and efficient communication with your physician. If your nurse has to answer the phone while in your room, he/she will step out for privacy, and will return as soon as possible after the call is completed. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. A Nursing Director is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care in each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or ask for the director if you have questions.

Case Management

A Case Manager will be assigned during your hospitalization to assist in the coordination of your care, providing your insurance plan with information, and discharge planning arrangements. Our Case Management Team is made of highly experienced Registered Nurses and Social Workers that will work with you and your family during your stay at North Fulton Regional Hospital. If you wish to speak with your Case Manager, Please Contact your nurse who will assist you or call extension #2573.

Ancillary Staff

A Coordinated Healthcare Team will be assisting in the delivery of your care. Some of the ancillary staff may include: Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Occupational Therapy, Laboratory Services and Pharmacy Services.

Volunteers

Volunteerscontribute many hours of service to the hospital. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in many ways and can be identified by their nametags and attire.

Environmental Services

A member of the Environmental Services Team cleans your hospital room daily. If your room requires additional attention, please do not hesitate to contact your nurse so that it can be taken care of as soon as possible, or call extension #2788.

You are a valued guest, and it is our commitment to make your meal service as enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please call ext. #2606.

Patient Meals

A Catering Associate will orient you to our menu selection process. The Associate will visit you daily and be available to you during the meal-rounds. Your diet is ordered by your physician and may include restrictions. A Registered Dietitian is available to explain any diet restrictions. Please ask your nurse to request a visit from the Dietitian.

Patient Meal Times Are: Breakfast served between 8:00am and 8:30am

Lunch served between 12:00 noon and 12:30pm

Dinner served between 5:00pm and 5:30pm

Guest Trays

A guest tray may be ordered for your visitor by asking the Catering Associate or the nurse on duty. These meals must be ordered and paid for in advance of the regular scheduled delivery time. Payment should be made to the Catering Associate upon meal delivery or paid in advance to the Dining Room Cashier.

Dining Room

The Dining Room/Cafeteria at North Fulton Regional Hospital is open daily for:

Breakfast available from 6:45am - 10:00am

Lunch available from 11:30am - 1:30pm

Dinner available from 4:30pm - 6:30pm

While it is primarily intended to serve hospital employees and physicians, visitors are always welcome. Visitors may take food from the Dining Room Cafeteria in a take-out box to a patient's room.

Vending Machines

Vending Machinesare located in the cafeteria located on the first floor, and have available access 24 hours a day.
