   Critical Care

North Fulton Regional Hospital operates a 28-bed critical care unit that incorporates intensive care, cardiac care and neuro trauma intensive care. Located on the second floor of the new patient tower, the critical care unit is equipped and staffed with specially-trained critical care personnel.

Due to the medical condition of the patients in this area, limited visiting hours have been instituted.

  • 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

For your convenience, a family waiting area is located outside the entrance to the unit. Should you require a longer stay, we now have a Family Sleep Room that is available for 24-hour increments. Please ask a nurse or case manager for more information on this option.

We also operate an eight bed neonatal intensive care unit to provide special care for premature and/or critically ill infants and those with complications. Located in the Women’s Center, the NICU is managed by our neonatologist along with a staff of specially trained and experienced registered nurses and respiratory therapists. Learn more about the NICU here.
